How to Watch Monday Night Football on TV, Streaming

The San Francisco 49ers will open the 2024-25 season at home at 5:15 p.m. PDT on September 9 at Levi’s Stadium against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

The 49ers have their stars ready to go after Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams both signed new extensions in recent days, ending their contract disputes. One 49ers player who won’t be available is 2024 first-round pick Ricky Pearsall, who was shot during an attempted robbery last weekend and is recovering.

Brock Purdy will look to begin his third NFL season with a home win over the Jets and Northern California native Aaron Rodgers, who is back at 40 after tearing his Achilles tendon in New York’s season opener last year.

How to watch

The match will be broadcast nationally on ABC network. In the San Francisco Bay Area, you can receive KGO-TV (channel 7) with an antenna or cable TV provider. DirecTV is currently in a contractual dispute with Disney, meaning subscribers may not be able to watch the game on ABC or sports channels. ESPN, ESPN+ And ESPN Deportes. YouTube TV gives you access to ABC and ESPN. It costs $72.99 per month, but is currently on sale for $64.99 per month for the first four months.

Monday night’s 49ers-Jets matchup marks the first time since 2020 that the 49ers have started the season at home.
