How to watch the 2024 NFL season opener Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs

The NFL season kicks off on Thursday with a matchup between the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the most recent Super Bowl losers, the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are looking to start their run for a three-peat season with a win against the Ravens, but will be down a runner after placing Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the bench. Meanwhile, the Ravens will be looking to prove themselves after a 17-10 loss to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs in February. The NFL kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, starting at 8:20 PM ET on NBC (and Telemundo) and broadcast live on the Peacock. Are you ready to tune in? Here’s what you need to know about the Ravens vs. Chiefs game, plus the rest of the Week 1 NFL schedule.

The 2024/25 NFL season begins Thursday, NOT with a Thursday Night Football game, but with a Super Bowl rematch between the Ravens and Chiefs in primetime on NBC. The Ravens at Chiefs game kicks off an action-packed opening weekend, including the first NFL game to be played in South America.

The Chiefs host the Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5 for the NFL season opener, televised on NBC and live on the Peacock. Don’t have cable? Here’s what we recommend to help you watch live:

(Peacock)

Starting at $8/month, a Peacock subscription will give you access to the Chiefs vs. Ravens AND at the Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Sao Paulo, Brazil, aired exclusively on the platform during kickoff week. Plus, get NFL games on NBC, select college soccer games, Premier League games, and access thousands of hours of shows and movies, including beloved sitcoms like Parks and Recreation and The office. For $14 a month, you can upgrade to an ad-free subscription that includes live access to your local NBC affiliate (not just during designated sports and events) and the ability to download select titles to watch offline.

Fubo TV gives you access to ESPN, NFL Network, Fox, ABC, CBS and over 100 live channels. At $80/month, the live TV streaming service is definitely a great investment for soccer fans. But it offers nearly every channel you’ll need to watch the NFL regular season and still leaves you with major savings compared to a traditional cable package. Fubo subscribers also get 1000 hours of cloud DVR storage. The platform also offers a free trial period so you can grab some games risk-free.
