State Police conduct alcohol checks in Greenbrier County

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – The West Virginia State Police have announced they will be establishing a DUI checkpoint on U.S. Route 219 in the Fairlea area of ​​Greenbrier County.

The checkpoint will take place on Thursday, September 12, between 6:00 p.m. and midnight on US Route 219 in the Fairlea area of ​​Greenbrier County.

The checkpoint is designed to identify and deter impaired drivers and to educate people about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

State police are asking the public to help stop drunk drivers and report them to authorities before incidents occur.
