Enterprise schools end lockdown after ammunition found on campus

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) – UDPATE: According to Enterprise City Schools, the lockdown has ended.

Enterprise High School and the Enterprise Career and Technology Center were both closed Thursday morning.

Ammunition was discovered on an Enterprise City school campus, prompting the lockdown, the school district said on Facebook.

School officials are asking that no one travel to either campus until the lockdown ends.

This comes after Eufaula Police advised Eufaula City Schools and Lakeside School to cancel classes and extracurricular events for Thursday after receiving threats of violence Wednesday night.

There have currently been no reports that these events are related to Wednesday’s mass shooting at Apalachee High School that left 4 people dead in Georgia.

On Wednesday, CNN reported that Apalachee High School received a call warning of shootings at five different schools, the first mass attack since yesterday.
