Bryan police identify pedestrian killed on Highway 6

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Bryan Police have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by an SUV on Highway 6 early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway near Highway 21.

The victim was identified as Phil Phillips, 63, of Bryan.

According to police, the driver involved in the fatal accident remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

For several hours, police diverted northbound traffic via the feeder road.
