Helena Bonham-Carter sparked engagement rumours to boyfriend Rye Dag Holmboe as she flashed a sparkling diamond ring during a stroll in north London on Tuesday.

The Crown actress, 58, showed off her quirky fashion sense in a colourful ensemble, sporting a red and nude floral maxi skirt teamed with a ruffled mustard top with mesh details.

She teamed her casual look with a pair of black sneakers and a brown handbag to carry her essentials.

The Harry Potter star accessorised her costume with a long black lucky charm and an array of statement jewellery, including the sparkling diamond on her ring finger, fuelling speculation that she and her boyfriend could be engaged.

Helena has been in a relationship with the 35-year-old art historian for six years following her split from director Tim Burton in 2014.

The Harry Potter star accessorised her phone with a long black pendant and an array of chunky jewellery, including a sparkling diamond on her ring finger, fuelling speculation that she and boyfriend Rye Dag Holmboe could be engaged.

The Crown actress, 58, looked summery as she wore a red and nude floral maxi skirt teamed with a frilly mustard top with mesh detailing.

However, speaking to the Daily Mail in March 2022, Helena said she was in no rush to exchange vows, stressing: “I wasn’t married the first time.”

The actress, who has previously cited Vivienne Westwood and Marie Antoinette as her main style influences, wore her brunette locks up for her outing in the capital, completing her unique look with a green hairpiece and matching glasses.

Despite the freezing temperatures in London reaching almost thirty degrees, the actress opted to tie a black jacket around her outfit.

The movie legend was busy reading something on her phone as she enjoyed her walk in the sunshine, putting on her glasses at one point to get a closer look.

Helena and her former long-term partner, director Tim Burton, lived in adjoining houses during their 13-year relationship, with each property decorated to their own personal tastes and styles.

However, Richard Eden of the Daily Mail reported in 2021 that she had decided to share a house with her university boyfriend, even adding to their domestic bliss by adopting pet rabbits.

The couple met at a wedding in 2018, four years after Helena and Tim split.

She explained to the Guardian how they met: “It was a completely random event, which we were both about to miss out on, so it was one of those moments that was so serendipitous and ended up determining so many things. A really happy accident, and that’s an incredible thing.”

Helena has been in a relationship with the art historian, 35, for six years (pictured together in 2019) following her split from director Tim Burton in 2014.

Addressing the couple’s 21-year age difference, the actress previously said in an interview with The Times:

“Everyone ages at a different rate. My boyfriend is incredibly mature. He’s an old soul in a young body, what more could I want?”

“People are a little afraid of older women, but not him. Women can be very powerful when they’re older.”
