Man gets woman drunk and rapes her on the street in Madhya Pradesh

A disturbing video that has been widely shared and sparked outrage shows a man raping a woman on the street in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The man allegedly got the woman drunk before sexually assaulting her. The video has now led to his arrest.

The crime occurred on Wednesday when the man who had promised marriage to the woman offered her alcohol and then raped her, then threatened her not to talk about the sexual assault before fleeing the scene.

Police officials said they learned about the crime after the video went viral on social media and managed to track down and arrest the man.

“The accused had promised the woman that he would marry her. He forced her to drink alcohol and raped her,” an official said.
