Report: 18-year-old arrested after alleged break-in into patrol car

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reports that 18-year-old Connor Patterson was arrested during an investigation into a theft at the Sheriff’s Office.

According to officials, the windows of two patrol cars were smashed and a handheld radio and operational clothing were stolen from the vehicles.

According to officials, Patterson was taken into custody shortly after 9 p.m. on September 3 and booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center.

He is charged with first-degree criminal damage and theft for unlawfully taking $1,000 or more but less than $10,000.

The sheriff’s office reports that this is an ongoing investigation.
