Man found dead near Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park, Illinois State Police investigating

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) – A body was found near a canal in the northern suburbs on Thursday. Illinois State Police are investigating.

The body was discovered Thursday morning near the Skokie North Shore Sculpture Park.

According to police, an adult man was found dead in the North Shore Channel under Dempster Street in the park.

It is not known whether a crime is suspected.

The police did not provide any information about the man’s identity.

No further details have been released and the cause of death is under investigation.
