Shooting at Badlapur railway station leaves one injured

A man was injured when he was shot at Badlapur railway station in neighbouring Thane district on Thursday evening, police said. The incident took place on Platform 1 and the attacker was immediately overpowered and arrested, a Government Railway Police official said.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment, the police officer added.

Senior officials, including the Central Railway Deputy Superintendent of Police, are on their way to the accident site and investigations are underway, he said.
