Applications are being accepted for the Moorhead Police Explorer Program – InForum

MOORHEAD – The Moorhead Police Explorer program is accepting applications for a course beginning Sept. 17.

According to a press release from the City of Moorhead, an information session on the program will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 6 p.m. The program offers students ages 15 to 21 the opportunity to receive training from police officers and learn about a career in law enforcement.

Criminal justice students at local colleges and universities are encouraged to apply, as there are numerous scholarship opportunities for explorers in Minnesota, the release said.

Applications are available online at www.moorheadpal.org.

Our newsroom occasionally reports under the name “Staff.” The “Staff” name is often used when rewriting basic news briefs from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure that requires little or no reporting. Sometimes this name is used when a story has multiple authors or when the story consists of compiling previously reported news from various sources. When outside sources are used, this is noted in the story.
