Four advantages the iPhone 16 Pro will have over the iPhone 16

Four advantages the iPhone 16 Pro will have over the iPhone 16

Next week, Apple will unveil its all-new flagship iPhone lineup, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. If you’re thinking ahead about buying the iPhone 16, here are a few different advantages the iPhone 16 Pro will have over the iPhone 16, even if there are more similarities than expected this year.

iPhone 16 Pro: bigger screens

One of the biggest changes coming to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be their larger displays. The iPhone 16 Pro’s display will go from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s display will go from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will not benefit from the same treatment and will keep their current formats of 6.1 and 6.7 inches. ProMotion technology with 120 Hz refresh rates will remain exclusive to the Pro models.

If your goal is to have the largest possible screen size for your iPhone, you’ll want to opt for the iPhone 16 Pro models this year. Notably, this will be the first time that the screen sizes between the non-Pro and Pro phones will differ since the iPhone 13.

Titanium design

With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple introduced an all-new design made of titanium instead of stainless steel. While Apple often makes design changes to the iPhone down the line, that won’t be the case with the titanium finish. Instead, the titanium design will remain exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Camera Upgrades

As usual, the iPhone 16 will have two cameras (main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera), while the iPhone 16 Pro will have three lenses (main, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto).

This year, however, the camera story is going to get more interesting, as the 5x telephoto lens that debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be extended to the iPhone 16 Pro. That means you no longer need to choose the largest iPhone to get the best camera system. You’ll have to opt for the iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max to get the best camera system, though.

The iPhone 16 Pro will also get an upgraded ultra-wide camera this year, going from 12MP to 48MP. The standard iPhone 16, meanwhile, will still have a 12MP ultra-wide camera.

Faster performance

This year, both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will feature the A18 chip. The iPhone 16 Pro, however, will get a more powerful version with the A18 Pro. We don’t have a clear idea of how the A18 Pro will differ from the A18, but the A18 Pro is expected to have a 6-core GPU, while the A18 will have a 5-core GPU.

The A18Pro is also said to feature a much more powerful Neural Engine, which could bode well for future Apple Intelligence features.

Conclude

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will be more similar than ever. This is mainly due to the fact that the Capture button will be present on all four models and the Action button will be extended across the board. Still, Apple will differentiate the iPhone 16 Pro from the iPhone 16 in a few key ways, and the camera plays a key role in this.

Are you planning to upgrade to the iPhone 16 this year? If so, which model are you planning to buy? Let us know in the comments.
