Pedestrian hit and killed on highway in Anderson County

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said a pedestrian was struck and killed overnight in the Hopewell community.

According to the Highway Patrol, a truck was traveling south on Highway 81 when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway at the intersection with Evergreen Road at around 12:35 a.m.

At this time, officials have not yet identified the victim.
