Man stole woman’s handbag after accident in the Hoover Reservoir area

On Wednesday at around 3:05 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a woman involved in a minor rear-end collision on Red Bank Road near the Twin Bridges Boat Ramp on the east side of the Hoover Reservoir in Delaware County.

According to police, the woman got out of her vehicle to inspect it for damage when a man attacked her and fled with her pink Coach purse and wallet. The woman was treated at a local hospital and released.

The man could face charges of grievous bodily harm and robbery as a result of the attack, police said.

In a press release, Genoa police described him as a 45-year-old white man who was tall and thin, had dark skin and drove a light-colored four-door sedan.
