Groom allegedly killed best man with SUV after argument at wedding in Flint

A couple was arrested in connection with the death of a witness at their wedding.

Authorities say Terry Lewis Taylor Jr. was intentionally struck by a speeding SUV on August 3 after getting into an argument at a wedding in Flint. Police said he was seriously injured and later died at the hospital.

Police identified the SUV driver as the groom, 22-year-old James Shirah. He was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. Shirah was denied bail.

The bride, 21-year-old Savahna Collier, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to a crime. Her bail was set at $4,000.
