Man found dead in North Shore Channel near Skokie: Police

SKOKIE, Illinois. – A man was found dead in the waters of the North Shore Channel near Skokie on Thursday morning, sparking a death investigation.

The man was found facedown in the water of the North Shore Channel in the 8600 block of McCormick Boulevard at 6:20 a.m., according to Skokie police.

Illinois State Police also arrived at the scene and found the man dead. His identity was not released.

The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.
