Content creator Dr Disrespect is getting closer to a comeback, as a new Twitter post and the departure of a longtime editor could mean a change in content.

Last June, Guy Beahm, better known as the streaming personality Dr Disrespect, admitted He spoke inappropriately to a minor and immediately went on vacation, after being demonetized on YouTube.

Six weeks later, he confirmed he would return to streaming, without specifying when, where or what type of content he would produce.

This week, Dr Disrespect shed more light on the situation, saying that he was back from vacation but that streaming his usual video games might not be part of his plan, apparently due to the departure of one of his most important collaborators from the channel.

“Chilling in the Lambo with the windows down…back from La Vacacion,” Dr Disrespect recently tweeted.

He also seemed to be considering switching from video games to another type of content, saying:

“Do people still stream video games? What a drag!”

This comes at the same time that one of its longtime video editors, known as “Alex” to Dr Disrespect viewers, has left the channel.

“Despite all the drama and chaos of the last few months, I am still extremely proud of all the work I have accomplished, but it is time for me to move on,” he said on Twitter.

Alex then thanked the other people he worked with during that time, but despite working for Dr Disrespect for six years, he left the streamer out of his farewell message.

The editor didn’t specify why he was leaving the channel, but it reinforces the idea that Dr Disrespect plans to change things up upon his return.

Another uncertainty regarding Dr Disrespect’s return is what platform he will use, as he was demonetized on YouTube and he was permanently banned on Twitch in 2020 when they discovered the inappropriate posts in the first place.

Besides video games, Dr Disrespect’s YouTube channel also includes content about golf and American football, so a pivot to sports could be an option.

Either way, it will be interesting to see if he will be greeted with the same fanfare as he was at the start of his career, after losing tens of thousands of followers – many of whom were his own. called “brainwashing”.

While it’s unclear if and when we’ll start streaming again, there will undoubtedly be more teasers and announcements on Twitter first.
